Erin Saucier, MD attended college at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from USM in 1992 and a Master of Professional Accountancy from USM in 1993. She worked for the certified public accounting firms of Horne CPA Group in Laurel, MS and Jim Ryall, CPA of Mobile before returning to school to pursue a degree in medicine. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine.
Her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital. While there, she was awarded Best Intern in her first year, and Best Ob/Gyn Resident in her third and fourth years of residency. She served as the administrative Chief Resident from February 2005 through April 2006. She also won first place in the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine, Department of Ob/Gyn, Hiram W. Mendenhall, MD Memorial Resident Research Day 2006. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Mobile County Medical Society.
Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, she now calls Mobile her home. She and her husband, Charles Saucier, a CPA and local businessman, have been married since 1994. They have a son, Charles, born in February 2006. Besides spending time with her family she enjoys reading, painting, and gardening.
