John Val-Gallas MD

John Val-Gallas, MD, one of the board-certified obstetricians and gynecologists at Bay Area Physicians for Women in Mobile, Alabama, specializes in routine obstetrics, high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr. Val-Gallas began his career at the University of Texas in Houston, earning his undergraduate degree. He achieved his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern (UT Southwestern) Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He held his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

At Bay Area Physicians for Women, Dr. Val-Gallas works hard to ensure each of his patients feels safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. He combines a down-to-earth approach with lighthearted humor to make his patients feel at home.

Dr. Val-Gallas is a fellow with both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). 

He is passionate about the technological advancements in women’s health care, and proudly brings the best available treatment options to his patients, from robotic surgery to advanced fertility care.

In his free time, Dr. Val-Gallas likes spending time with his family and enjoying the great outdoors. Two of his favorite hobbies are fishing and hiking.
