Fertility and Pregnancy Care: When Only the Best Will Do
Pregnancy is about new life. At Bay Area Physicians for Women, we understand every facet of fertility and pregnancy care, and few physicians in the Mobile area share our depth of experience. Whether you’re thinking about getting pregnant or have started planning for a new baby, we are here to help.
Caring for all aspects of fertility and pregnancy
We use proven methods and effective technology to provide the following services:
Routine obstetrical care
At Bay Area Physicians for Women we do everything we can to make sure that your pregnancy goes smoothly and your baby is healthy. Maybe you’re a first-time mom, or you might be expecting an addition to the family. Bay Area Physicians for Women is the place to go for medical excellence and emotional support. We’ll help you with any challenges that may come your way, including the changes that your body will experience.
At Bay Area Physicians for Women, we know that getting pregnant isn’t always easy and getting ready for a new baby can be a challenge. There’s a lot to think about and do so that everything is in place when the baby comes. We work with our obstetrical patients before the pregnancy, providing a level of personal care and attention few can match.
Labor and delivery
One of the things that sets Bay Area Physicians for Women apart is the one-on-one nursing care we offer during labor and delivery. Our nurses give each expecting mom truly personal and individualized care. We’ll sit with you, we’ll talk with you and, most important, we’ll guide you step-by-step through the delivery process.
Our practice also works with our hospital partners to find ways to make the hospital experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible. For example, in modern birthing suites, newborns can often stay in the same room with new mothers and enjoy custom designed infant-sensitive care. Also, our patients can benefit from personal interactions with a board-certified lactation consultant to help with breastfeeding questions.
For some women, pregnancy can be complicated, or “high-risk.” A number of health conditions and medical complications can cause high-risk pregnancies, including diabetes, high blood pressure and blood clotting disorders, among other things. Our doctors, nurses and staff spend time with expecting moms who may be at risk, explaining the challenging aspects of pregnancy and helping them manage difficulties that can come up.
3-D and 4-D ultrasound
This state-of-the-art-technology provides realistic, nearly photographic images of the developing fetus. Our skilled ultrasound technologist brings 24 years of experience in obstetrical and gynecological scanning. Bay Area Physicians for Women is pleased to offer this new technology to our patients within the comfort of our offices. 4-D ultrasound is like having a three-dimensional image set in motion so you can see your baby’s movements live on video.
